Fusion Lowers are Almost Here!

The Fusion lowers are getting close.

These will be the 80% version that will be available through my website. When they arrive I will be testing different jigs to get an idea which ones will work. I can say with confidence that those versions that surround the entire lower and are designed for forged lower will not work without mods.

The magwell area will interfere. Those jigs that attach to the rear of the lower should work.

As well as those popular router jigs.

For those that are looking for a 100% solution I am proud to announce that Nodak Spud has licensed my design and will be producing what they call the NDS-1815. This is the first prototype and the first run should be fully machined and off to anodizing by the end of October. I’m very excited to see this come to fruition.

It’s been a long road bringing these to market but I’m sure you will be as happy with these as I am.

New Pistol Grip and More!

A new pistol grip design that will fit standard AR15 lower receivers is now available.

As with the previous design these can be used as printed or sanded and polished to your liking. I have found that a quick sanding with 120 grit sandpaper followed by a few coats of primer then a gloss black top coat works fantastic. It requires much less time than a complete polish job.

Available Here

Brownells just announced their newest BRN-180 offering and I’m sure you can probably figure out I’m really excited about it, the BRN-180S. A 10.5″ version of their BRN-180.

It does not appear to have an appropriate flash hider. I think I can fix that.

They will be available in the store as soon as I get them parkerized. Keep an eye out.

How about the elephant in the room? Whats with that lower receiver? That is the first prototype of the Fusion Lower Receiver in the flesh. Ready for some testing. They will be available as an 80% “Paper Weight” as soon as I can get the last few details ironed out.

Stay Tuned!

A New Look For AR180S.com

My daughter told me that my site needed some help. I let her play around with it and so far I like it.

What do you think?

Also a little update to the Fusion Lower. It was suggested that I increase the reinforcements around the pivot pin.

BRN-180 Fusion Lower Progress

Friend had some free time on his VMC so he agreed to make a lower to see how it looks in real life.

First couple of operations are done and it is starting to look the part. Another cut along the bottom following the magwell will just about finish the side profile.

What do y’all think?
